Golden Valley the Future is “Now”
Community Capacity Building Series 09

Sponsored by Windy River Institute and the Overlook Gardens

Where we all are

The reasons we choose to live here in the valley and the lifestyle we know and love is now being changed forever.

Forces set in motion years ago in county planning as well as new interests from outside the area are on line now and changing the face of the valley on a daily basis.

In our shock and dismay, our excitement and anticipation, we basically believe we are losing our wonderful rural way of life.

And we perceive, rightly or wrongly, that these people and forces do not necessarily have our best interests at heart, nor do they share our values

But what can we do?
How do we address all the issues and challenges?
What do we need to know that we don’t know to ask?
What do we need to know to alley our fears and take action?
Take advantage of the opportunities that lye ahead
Take an active, enthusiastic and effective part in building a dynamic new mega city

In this 09 series of Community sessions experts in the field of sustaianblity  will bring new  information for participants to think over and interact with presenters.

The series is will  answer the question:

What is it we need to know about growth but did not know to ask and how do we individually and collectively take an active an affective role in Building a Superior and Sustainable Community

Meeting these challenges means being informed
Maintain a say in the future
Be part of the master planning
Preserve the values of a rural way of life

Take advantage of the wisdom of other rural areas experiencing the same growth
